Camillo dies in 1968. Almost fifty years later, Marco brings his whole family together for a lunch. With his family, he reflects on Camillo, his twin brother who died at the age of 29. The brothers. The grandchildren. The sister of the girlfriend at that time. A psychiatrist. A priest. Talking to each of them, evoking those years and those events, Marco reconstructs the pieces of the past, finally giving form to a ghost he has been dealing with all his life. Through his family, Marco Bellocchio brings his brother’s story back to life, without filters or modesty, almost like an investigation, reconstructing a historical era and weaving the red line of so many of his films.
