Amir, a handyman in rural central Italy, works raising pigs for an arrogant and ruthless foreman. After yet another instance of harassment, he decides to flee to the city, where, reduced to a life of hardship, he falls into the clutches of a mysterious character. Amir finds himself at a dilemma: obey the will of others once again, or become the architect of his own destiny.
